Announcing the First Ever Orange Hill Ganja Cup
A Cultural Celebration and Two Day Cannabis Competition for 420
[Little Bay, Jamaica- April 19-20, 2024] Fat Nugs Magazine and a host of other brands, businesses and organizations from around the globe will be coming together to not only sponsor the first annual Orange Hill Ganja Cup, but build it from scratch. The Ganja Cup will be a cultural celebration and opportunity for the Jamaican community and visitors alike to experience the ultimate cannabis competition where participants will compete with some of the premier growers for 420 in the cannabis capital of the world. This event will take place at Wabba’s world famous Blue Hole Mineral Spring in Brighton, Jamaica on April 19 and 20th.
The competition will be judged by local Jamaican experts to be announced soon and US cannabis connoisseurs: William Cunningham, founder of FlameCo and pioneer of endocannabinoid profile analysis, Daniel Crawford, Chief Operating Officer, Terpene Whisperer and writer at Fat Nugs Magazine, and Rob Sanchez, founder and host of Apartment 113, a certified Ganjier and cannabis cultivation specialist.
The judges will be using a 5-point scale and judging for best flower based on aroma, taste, appearance and experience. Contestants will be asked to complete an entry form and can submit up to two strains. The entry fee per strain is $50 USD. Judging will occur on April 19th with the awards ceremony on the 20th.
Beyond the competition, The Ganja Cup has numerous events, making it the ultimate 420 experience. Attendees can look forward to a Jamaican cultural showcase featuring lively dancing, intense drumming, dub poetry, fun arts and crafts and more. The event will also include cannabis seminars for cannabis enthusiasts to expand their knowledge during the holiday. Most excitingly, the event will be capped off with a live reggae concert, celebrating the love and joy of Jamaican culture.
