Episode 162 - Apt 113 Special - June 2025

Episode 162 is the 25th episode of Season 3.

This month’s special is a solo episode where Rob recaps his time at Psychedelic Science 2025, the largest global gathering of psychedelic minds, hosted by MAPS in Denver, Colorado.

With a background in science and a deep personal passion for psychedelics, Rob hit the ground running at this massive five-day event featuring 700+ speakers, 14 programming tracks, and countless conversations that blended research, ritual, healing, and hype. From keynote sessions and policy announcements to spontaneous drum circles and raw community moments, this was more than a conference; it was a cultural pulse check.

In this wide-ranging reflection, Rob zooms out on the emerging psychedelics space, exploring where things are, where they might go, and what could be lost along the way. It’s a look at the growing tension between grassroots and institutional models, the balance of access and authenticity, and what we might gain or sacrifice as psychedelics move from sacred to clinical to commercial. There’s no one direction for this space, but the questions we ask today shape what comes next.

See you in Denver again for Psychedelic Science 2027.
