Episode 84 - Rachel Turetzky & Douglas Wingate, 8-Circuit Ascension

Episode 84 is the 30th episode of Season 2.

We're joined today by Rachel Turetsky and Douglas Wingate authors of the book 8-Circuit Ascension Metaprogramming Psychospiritual Healing and Evolution.

Rachel has a PhD in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has further training as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist through Sage Institute.

Additionally, she has worked extensively with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. Currently, she works as an Adherence Rater and Medical, Legal, and Regulatory affairs reviewer on their Phase 3 Clinical Trials using MDMA to treat PTSD. Dr. Turetzky is also a Certified Integrative Wellness & Life Coach through Integrative Wellness Academy, a Certified Yoga Teacher through Marianne Wells Yoga School, and Reiki Healer through the Usui System of Natural Healing.

Douglas received his Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University and Masters from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where he now teaches advanced neuro-orthopedics. He has completed postdoctoral studies in clinical neuroscience from the Carrick Institute as well as being a certified Functional Medicine Hyperbaric Clinician, Licensed Acupuncturist, herbalist, and certified in somatic psychedelic integration. He was part of the first-ever cohort of licensed psilocybin facilitators in his home state of Oregon and co-owns of one of the first licensed psilocybin service centers in the United States, works with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s psychedelic-assisted therapy program.

Their new book explores the psychotherapeutic potential— as well as the shamanic and psychonautic applications— of the 8-circuit model of consciousness. This model of consciousness hides on the fringes of cultural thought, due to its association with psychedelic drugs and outlaw philosophers like Timothy Leary.
