Grape Cake - Redwood Cultivation
Systemic Assessment Protocol® completed by Certified Ganjier™ Rob Sanchez
Dark purple hue from the anthocyanins in this cultivar come from a Grape Stomper X Cherry Pie X Wedding Cake origin. This sample had mostly smaller buds that were on the dry side.
There’s a fresh sour grape scent initially that settles into an earthy/floral aroma. Once the initial volatile terps escaped the jar, the aroma is reduced significantly. You can get another small burst of aroma on the ground sample.
The flavor was mediocre and impacted by shelf life and or supply chain issues. It was a smooth smoke though, especially as more of the THC had converted to CBN helping with that mellowness. There was a surprising note of peppery spice on the smoke though.
Curb appeal here is serious with dark purple sugar leaves and a good trim. The aroma and flavor are subtle. Terpinolene 10.35 mg/g is significant. This was grown with love but perhaps mishandled or left a little too long on the shelf. Really hoping to try this one again with a more recent harvest date.
